SHOP TALK
What: Not the same old boring workout clothes. A new locally owned athletic-wear online boutique features a fun, fresh take on stuff you can sweat in, such as this outfit by Margarita (bra top, $38 and pants, $85).
Who: Personal trainer and exercise-class instructor Dee Burton and business partner Ken Greer, both from Minneapolis, teamed up to find alternatives to Nike and Puma.
Why: "When you look good, you feel good. Fitness for me is making people feel better from the inside out. The clothing is just the bonus," Burton said. She says: "You can wash them 100 times and they'll never lose the shape, they'll never smell."
Unsolicited advice: A little tip from Burton for those whose New Year's fitness resolutions have just kicked in: "Make sure you get a variety — variety is the key to consistent exercise."
